It is important that parents inform us of any health problems affecting their child.

Ultimately parents are responsible for the administration of any medication to their children. Should a child require prescription medication in the middle of the school day, parents are requested to either visit school to administer the medicine or complete an 'administering medication' request form (see below).

Medication must be fully labelled to indicate name, dosage, and frequency of administration as well as the name and telephone number of the doctor who prescribed it.

Please note that there is no legal duty which requires schools to administer medicines to pupils or supervise a child administering it.
