Let's work together.......

At North Crawley Church of England School we aim to develop excellent partnerships with parents and carers that focus firmly on supporting children’s wellbeing, learning and development.

Parents are the central adults in their child’s life so it is very important for the children that we work in partnership with each other.  This positive relationship will provide each child with a firm foundation for their future achievement so they will thrive and flourish at school, at home and beyond.

“Be the best that you can be: whatever you do work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord” - Colossians 3.23 (NIV)

Home-School Agreement

The 'home-school agreement' is a statement explaining the school's values and aims and the school's responsibilities towards its pupils. It also sets out the responsibility of each pupil's parents together with the school's expectations of its pupils.

All maintained schools are required to publish a 'home-school agreement' and associated parental declaration. The 'home-school agreement' will be distributed to parents when their child first starts school.

All registered parents of pupils are required to sign the parental declaration to indicate that they understand and accept the contents of the home-school agreement.

Helping your child......

What do we know about parental involvement?

  • Children make more progress when they learn with their parents; all children make more progress with informed parent support.
  • Parents are their child's first educators and remain their key educators throughout their school careers.
  • Parents are their child's major 'stakeholder'; all parents want the best for their children and want them to succeed.

Throughout the year there will be a variety of workshops, including phonics, reading, and maths, to highlight how parents can support their children with these areas of the curriculum.
