Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS)

North Crawley Church of England School underwent a  Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) inspection by the Oxford Diocesan Board in March 2014.  You can download the full report by clicking on this link:

All areas inspected achieved outstanding grades, a fantastic achievement as expectations of schools are constantly being raised. The report highlights -

  • The distinctiveness and effectiveness of North Crawley as a Church of England school are outstanding
  • The school, through its distinctive Christian character, is outstanding at meeting the needs of all learners
  • The impact of collective worship on the school community is outstanding
  • The effectiveness of the leadership and management of the school as a church school is outstanding.

The pupils "highly developed personal spirituality" was commented favourably upon.

It is extremely gratifying that the inspector recognises that "the positive impact of the school's Christian character and values in meeting the needs of all learners is evident in the outstanding progress that pupils make from their different starting points resulting in standards that are well above average by the end of year 2".

The report also states the "Christian vision of the school has a positive impact on standards of achievement and the wellbeing of the whole school community".
